I noticed the eshop is still not working for me. Has anyone else been able to get through since yesterday? I think the holiday must have had something to do with it. If it was because too many people were trying to set up their new systems it shouldve been back up by now. If its not up later today, maybe Ill try calling the 800 number.
eshop still down
Error Code: 005-4240
Nintendo eshop won't load and I got a messege that said "An error has occurred. Please try again later. If the problem persists, please visit support.nintendo.com." My sisters, who also own a 3DS, are having this problem too. What should we do?
AC:NL Error code 018-0512
Hi, whenever I try to connect to other towns in Animal Crossing: New Leaf, I keep recieving the error code 018-0512.
On the website, it says that it's a connectivity issue, but I can access the internet on my 3DS just fine. In fact, I can see all the towns online (as well as the visitors,) but when I attempt to join, the system spits this error code back at me.
Is there anybody who can help me solve this?
Pokemon Shuffle: Lucario Competition high score is glitched
Super Smash Bros 3ds - 018-0516 error code, HELP
In SSB3DS, any type of game I try to play online I get the above error code. The error message on nintendos sport page says to make sure I'm connected to my router.. it's right next to me and my signal is really strong. Not sure if it has to do with port forwarding/nat issues (I have tho issues here at college in the dorms with my ps4) or if it is something on nintendos end. Any help?
3DS Black Screen of Death 2013
Towards the end of April, I was playing Pokemon Black 2 on my 3DS. I closed the lid one night and let it sleep. Over the course of the night the battery died. I woke up the next morning and tried to turn it on. It turned on for a little but then died again because it didn't have enough juice. I plugged in the charger to let it charge, but it never fully came on again. When I turn it on, both of the backlights come on, the power light comes on, the charging light comes on, and the wifi light will come on. The 3D slider light does not. If I hold the power button, but screens turn on and the 3D light and displays the regualr "In Sleep Mode, the system can..." message. From this screen I can power off fully, but when I try to go to the Home screen, it lags indefinitely.
With my 3DS in this state I've been looking for solution, I found out about the system update screen where you turn the system on holding L, R, A and up. This worked fine, both of my screens turned on and I could update, if there was an update to update. I've waited months for the update that came out a few days ago hoping that this would fix my problem. It did not. I contacted NIntendo about this problem and they didn't know what to do with it either, finally teling me to send it in for 100 bucks to fix it.
My 3DS is a launch day Black 3DS with ambassador games and everything. Every 3DS with this specific problem I've read up on so far have been 3DS from that window with ambassador games and all which leads me to believe that it might have been a defect with that specific batch of 3DS's. I made this thread to see if anyone else had the same 3DS as me that has this problem and if ANYONE has found a fix for it yet that doesn't involve me giving Nintendo 100 more dollars after the 250 bucks I paid for it at launch. Please help guys. Thank you in advance.
Nintendo 2DS Hardware Issue?!
Hello Everyone! I purchased a Crystal Blue Nintendo 2DS 3 months ago, and it's been SO much fun. However, I've discovered an issue that has happened to me, and someone else who had the same version of the console. On Thursday, March 19th, 2015. My 2DS's internal screen shattered. Many people would say, "Well, have you dropped it, or pushed the screen too tight?" I haven't done anything. I was playing Pokemon Alpha Sapphire, and I put it in sleep mode so I could go eat something. The system never left my sight. I come back to play, and I take it off of sleep mode, and the whole screen is shattered. I've been doing some research, and my friend and I have come to the conclusion that the digitizer exploded causing the screen to crack which isn't my fault at all. I even have a warranty, but I'll still have to pay $75+tax just to get it fixed which is quite unfair. I have NO clue what to do. Should I just go ahead and buy the NEW 3DS, or file a complaint? I just don't want anyone else system to explode internally so they don't have to deal with trouble I've gone through.
Thank you!
NOTE: I have a video showing the system off, and being turned on if people would like to see it.
Purchased MH4U, Redeemed Theme Code, Unable to Download Theme
I was hoping to get this resolved quickly but seems like that's not gonna happen so here's the gist. Dog wakes me up, see's it's 9 in the morning, turns on system, goes to eShop, purchases Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate on Launch. Success, selects Download Later, Sees and selects"Enter Code," Download requirements for the free themes included with purchase, Error pops up forcing me to go to Home, reinputs code given on receipt (fails of coarse), checks "Your Downloads" and all over Theme shop and no where do I see the free themes. Please someone tell me what am I over looking and tell me it is simple because I hate to find out I would have to call custormer support over some free download. I hope this will not escalate into a whole bigger issue, but more importantly I hope I'm not screwed and forever unable to download the themes unless they pop up on the store making me have to buy them when I already registered the code for the themes.
Side Note: I have no idea what the error was, I thought it was a classic error pop-up possibly due to high traffic. Still I would not in any way think the error would be important but just incase, no I do not know what the error was.
3DS fell into a bucket of water...
So yeah, I was playing Pokemon Shuffle and I ran out of hearts, so I decided to play MH3U, with Circle Pad Pro by the way... But I figured that I need to poop, and so I did!
I was so stupid! I played with my 3DS inside the bathroom, still with the circle pad. Once I finished my business I was about to wipe my bottom, I placed my 3ds in a very secure place (and so I thought) on top of the toilet flush button, since it was flat I thought it would be secured.
But no! When I was reaching the bucket of water to wipe my buns, vibration (maybe) caused my 3ds with cpp to fall off the top of the toilet and fell directly into the bucket of water...
I searched for solutions and found out rice may be the solution and so i took out everything and dried it, then put everything back in, and placed my 3ds and cpp on top of a bowl of rice and sealed it.I took it out to check it, and found out it was fine, my sd card, my game card slot was full of rice tho, so i took it all out, the upper screen and touch screen were working and all the buttons, after that, me and my sister shook off every last bit of rice in my 3ds, but when I opened it again, the top screen was flickering (3d: weak to strong and vice versa) even if the 3d slider was off, the top screen was still 3d! And the bottom screen stopped working plus the buttons and the circle pad, I'm afraid all the shaking caused it. BTW, the first few minutes the StreetPass light was red, then it was gone.
Now my question is, will the rice work? even if the water is inside? oh and btw, everytime i shake it I hear something, is that normal? I opened my 3ds several times, even though forums say i should not because it might short and it might fry the motherboard, but it didn't, all of the buttons circle pad and the screens are still in the same broken condition, does that mean it shorted out? WIll my 3ds be okay? I think water is the thing I heard when I shook it, will it be ok?
Note: I've charged it ang it worked fine, the orange light was on, (not sure if it actually charged, too tensed) the circle pad, buttons top screen was fine until it went bonkers on me. Haven't game tested cause if I opened the 3ds too much, it says "error has occured hold down the off button" everytime. I am glad that everytime I open it, it's fine, except for the screens, buttons etc. it doesnt make a popping sound, the sound system is still alright.
Help pls? Sorry for the long story, I'm OCD (a bit)
Nintendo Update Ver. 9.5.0-23U Internet Problem
So I am just going to start this discussion to able to see if I am the only who not able to use the internet.
Here how it goes.....
After seeing spotpass downloaded a new update. I installed the update immediately. After a couple of days. I cannot seem to connect to MH4U online multiplayer. It was weird, I thought server error or something on those days. So I just rested the 3DS XL with a full power off for a day maybe it will come back soon. I was wrong. I tried again, mainly failed even to get a connection the thing I see most of the time on the top screen the network trying to connect was on internet for a moment then after a few seconds it goes back to enabled. That ain't suppose to happen and I keep getting the error code 003-2101 all the time. Same as trying to use the Theme Shop, Nintendo e-shop and even the connection test it would still not connect to the Internet. I checked my router and modem iif they are the problem but they are working fine and also made sure the firewall is not blocking anything from the 3DS. Here is the very weird thing about this problem. I can use the Internet browser properly and have no problems at all as I am typing this discussion on the 3DS. So someone out there in the forums. Same problem as my problem?

Data Loss...?
So when transferring system data from my 3DS to my New 3DS, I didn't quite understand what was going to be wiped and what wasn't, and I ended up reformatting or wiping my SD card in my old 3DS.
Unknowing that I lost some important data I wanted (Animal Crossing save data from the downloadable game, and Mii Plaza data)
I've since tried to run some recovery programs on the formatted or wiped (not sure how the old system deals with SD cards after a system transfer) and of course it all looks like jibberish and I don't know what is actual game stuff or what.
I guess my question is: Is there any way I can recover my animal crossing or mii plaza data? I had A LOT of ACNL stuff, and many puzzle pieces and mini game progress I really hope isn't gone forever.... Any help is appreciated, sorry if my explanation sucks.

3DS Update Problem
I just got a Nintendo 3DS a few hours ago, and am trying to update it. When the system starts to update, it stops and a message comes up saying "An error has occurred. Unable to update. The system will now be restarted." I have deleted then input back in my internet settings 3 times, and still continue to have this problem. What can I do to fix this?
Thanks,

Any way to find a missing 3ds?
Hello! I have seen lots of people saying their 3ds is stolen/lost so I am wondering if there is anything I can do about it before it happens to me. For example, what apple does for the ipod touch/iphone/ipad at me.com. Is their a way to track it with a serial number?

AC:NL Error code 018-0512
Hi, whenever I try to connect to other towns in Animal Crossing: New Leaf, I keep recieving the error code 018-0512.
On the website, it says that it's a connectivity issue, but I can access the internet on my 3DS just fine. In fact, I can see all the towns online (as well as the visitors,) but when I attempt to join, the system spits this error code back at me.
Is there anybody who can help me solve this?
Can you switch SD cards for 3DS/3DS XL without corrupting/losing anything?
I just got a new XL a couple of days ago, And after i did System transfer, It wanted me to use my old SD card from my other 3DS. I'm not sure why though. I was really excited to use the 4GB card and have a little more space than the 2GB one.
So.. Is there a way to transfer eShop downloaded items & other things on the 4GB card without corrupting anything?
