Weird Connection Problems
So this morning everything was just fine, until a couple hours ago where something with the 3DS' internet went wrong. I was playing Pokemon X and I couldn't connect to the internet. It displayed error code 001-0112: "Unable to connect to the server. Please try again later." I looked the code up but nothing helped. Also, in my friend list it says I am offline and I also can't add anyone. What's weird is that in the top left corner of the top screen I have a full wifi signal with 3 blue bars. I tried connecting to the eshop and the browser and those DO work. Can anyone help me solve this?
Thanks
Can't add friends, says I'm offline.
Hello, I've been having an issue with my 3DS where when I go to my friends list and it'll say I'm offline and I can't add codes. It'll pop up error 001-0502. I looked it up and it says that the issue is that I'm not connecting to the router, but I'm able to use all other online features of the 3DS just fine. Does anyone have any suggestion as to what may be the issue?
Error Code: 001-0811 Possible 3DS System Update?
For some reason, I keep on getting this error code, and I'm very close to my Internet. Not just the normal maintenance, the Internet maintenance. I'm thinking "is this a possible 3DS update not announced?"
Friend list refuses to go online
Whenever I try to use the friend list on my 3DS, it shows me as offline despite the wireless status in the top corner showing me as connected to the internet. Whenever I do somthing like adding a person to my list I get the error 001-0102. According to the site it's supposed to mean that I can't connect to the internet but the Browser and the eShop don't have these issues just the friend list.
I can't add friends to my friend list... what am I doing wrong?
Hi.
I have my 3DS right here so I will tell you step by step what I doing, cause I can't figure what's wrong:
1) I open my 3DS (it's in sleep mode).
2) I check that the wireless is enabled.
3) Indeed, the yellow led on the side of the system is on and flashing.
4) On the 3D screen, in the upper left corner, it says "internet" and I have full bars.
5) I take out my stylus.
6) I enlarge my stylus.
7) I click on "Friend List".
8) I click on "Register Friend".
9) I click on "internet".
10) The system tells me: "you cannot use internet registration because you are not online".
11) Why?????????????????????????
I lost my serial #
Is there any way I could get it back so I could register it to club nintendo? I don't have the box either.
Changing your Personal Mii
So, when I first went into the Mii Studio, the stupid system made me create a Mii. I left everything at the default settings (actually named the Mii "Default") just so I could get into the studio and import my Mii from my Wii.
Except now, "Default" is my personal Mii and I don't see *anywhere* I can select a different Mii.
Any suggestions?
(PS: Yes, I know I can go in and edit the Default Mii into a me-Mii, but I already have a me-Mii that I want to use.)
3DS Update Problem
I just got a Nintendo 3DS a few hours ago, and am trying to update it. When the system starts to update, it stops and a message comes up saying "An error has occurred. Unable to update. The system will now be restarted." I have deleted then input back in my internet settings 3 times, and still continue to have this problem. What can I do to fix this?
Thanks,

Recovering Corrupted Save Data in Pokemon X and Y
Okay, so I just had a very, very close shave. I'd beaten the main game of an eShop-downloaded Pokemon: Y Version about a week ago, and have since been working on making some competitive online battling teams while filling in the Pokedex as a side-project. I thought I was done for the night, but one of my friends needed something, so I went to open it up.
That's when I saw this before the intro cinematic even played:
"The save game data is corrupted.
Refer to the electronic manual for details."
Natrually I was very concerned. I had no desire to just lose 220+ hours of time and effort, so I opened the manual hoping for a way to recover my corrupted data, maybe by loading a backup of my SD Card data.
The manual plainly told me that loading a backup would not restore my save game data.
This nearly made me quite literally throw my 3DS out the window in rage, but I decided to channel that anger into proving the manual wrong and searched up some fixes. Only two possibilities turned up, found on these forums:
1) Having the SD Card read by an external source (i.e. copying data from it to your computer).
2) Constantly restarting the game and praying it would jostle the game data into suddenly working again.
Now, this time things worked out; the first solution worked for me. and Pokemon Y is working just fine now. But this was still a seriously close call that could happen again at any moment, and I've seen cases on these forums that weren't so easily fixed. So I have to ask this:
Why can't we preserve and backup our save game data of Pokemon X and Y?
I know the obvious answer I'm going to get is some vein of "because of hackers and piracy", but my impression was that these were already taken care of as best as possible, hackers by the "Bad Egg" error thing and piracy by the 3DS-eShop linking. I know there are always a myriad of people trying to break these games over their knees, but to be frank, these people deserve whatever errors or lawsuits they get. The rest of us who instead play the game legally have to deal with errors like this with no way of reversing the damage other than to completely restart, and it is not at all fair, nor does it seem worth the trade-off.
Before anyone asks, the corruption that happened in my game was an entirely random event. I save often, I've never recieved a "Bad Egg", I bought the game right off of the eShop on launch day, and the closest thing I've done to cheating is save scumming when breeding Pokemon and not getting a favorable result in order to save time. This random corruption was a major eye opener to what hundreds of other people must have had happen to them also, and I'm not about to turn a blind eye even if I did fix my data.
The point is: in this day and age where info and data can be stored on nearly anything with nearly any means, hacking and piracy notwithstanding, there needs to be a reliable way for the innocent consumers to backup and recover the save data for a mere video game. Is there any way to make this possible? I'd rather not lose 220+ hours of work again and not be able to get it back this time...
What time does the 3ds update release

Upgrading SDHC Memory
Hello. I recently bought a 32GB SDHC memory card after filling up the 4GB card that came with the system. I followed the instructions on the Nintendo Support website to transfer all my data between cards, but it did not work. One thing it did not do is transfer all of my game data I recently backed up. I had five games backed up, but upon transfering card data it only showed one spot that I did not have previously. In addition, my Link Between Worlds theme was gone. I tried formatting and redoing my new card at least five times but I still recieved the same result. Could the problem be in the brand of SD card I used? The one that came with the system is a 4GB Lexar and the one I purchased is a 32GB Sandisk (both are SDHC). It would be nice if anyone could help me find a solution to this quickly. I really want to purchase the new Pokemon Alpha Sapphire when it comes out and install it without having to worry about storage space. Thank you in advance.
Also, I know something wasn't right because my recently purchased game (Senran Kagura Burst, purchased only a few days ago) was not installed. And all my games were outside of their respective folders I put them in.
SD Card not detected
This just started happening when I updated my 3DS. Every time I try to access the eShop, or even the Home menu, I get an error message saying that the system "Could not detect an SD card" and "The software on the SD card could not be displayed". Also, it tells me the portion of my SD card that stores software data is corrupted when I access the eShop and redirects me to data management. I have formatted everything and I still get this error. Please help!
3DS Black Screen of Death 2013
Towards the end of April, I was playing Pokemon Black 2 on my 3DS. I closed the lid one night and let it sleep. Over the course of the night the battery died. I woke up the next morning and tried to turn it on. It turned on for a little but then died again because it didn't have enough juice. I plugged in the charger to let it charge, but it never fully came on again. When I turn it on, both of the backlights come on, the power light comes on, the charging light comes on, and the wifi light will come on. The 3D slider light does not. If I hold the power button, but screens turn on and the 3D light and displays the regualr "In Sleep Mode, the system can..." message. From this screen I can power off fully, but when I try to go to the Home screen, it lags indefinitely.
With my 3DS in this state I've been looking for solution, I found out about the system update screen where you turn the system on holding L, R, A and up. This worked fine, both of my screens turned on and I could update, if there was an update to update. I've waited months for the update that came out a few days ago hoping that this would fix my problem. It did not. I contacted NIntendo about this problem and they didn't know what to do with it either, finally teling me to send it in for 100 bucks to fix it.
My 3DS is a launch day Black 3DS with ambassador games and everything. Every 3DS with this specific problem I've read up on so far have been 3DS from that window with ambassador games and all which leads me to believe that it might have been a defect with that specific batch of 3DS's. I made this thread to see if anyone else had the same 3DS as me that has this problem and if ANYONE has found a fix for it yet that doesn't involve me giving Nintendo 100 more dollars after the 250 bucks I paid for it at launch. Please help guys. Thank you in advance.

Pokemon X and Y: Connection to the server was interrupted.
Every time I connect to the internet while playing X and Y, after about three minutes of being connected, I get automatically disconnected with an error meeage saying "Connection to the server was interrupted". I have no problem connecting back to the internet after I get this message but then in the same amount of time after being connected, I get disconnected and get the same message. I have a router that uses a WEP setup and have never had this problem connecting in any other game. The real problem is that I go to college where I have no real control over the internet and all I was able to do was plug my own router into their grounded internet connection. I have tried setting the DNS and IP address to automatic but this didn't change anything either. Does anyone know why I am getting this message and if there is anything I can do to fix it?
