The new updated killed my nintendo zone.

The new update killed my ability to use the nintendo zone. I have 2 3ds xl. One updated last night. I went to a McDonalds and the non updated one streetpassed and the nintendo zone icon said I was in the zone. The update one said I was and when I had it search it said "Nope no nintendo zone here" even though my other one and my daughters ds both said yes the is a zone here. So I updated my other 3ds xl and as soon as it restarted it could not log into the zone and said there wasn't on available, but my daughters 3ds, which has not updated, said the zone was still there and she could log in.

So how do I fix this and is there anyway to get rid of the update? We live in a very small town and the McDonalds is one of the few places we can streetpass.

HELP!

Thanks

Gamestop out of Mew event serial codes. Is there a way to get a code?

All the local Gamestop stores are out of the cards with the Mew event serial codes for the 3DS Pokemon games. I've heard several people in the past say that when they were unable to get serial codes for Pokemon X/Y events from Gamestop, they emailed or called Nintendo Customer Service about the problem and were given serial codes as requested. How would I e-mail Nintendo about this? I couldn't find an e-mail address for customer service (in the US, or even NA) anywhere. Am I going to have to call to see if I can a code?

Smash Bros 3DS save data error after transferring to New Nintendo 3DS XL. Is there a way to fix this?

I have an e-store download of the game. Before transferring systems, the game and my data were working fine, and I had updated to the latest version of smash 1.0.5. After a tough time of getting all my games/data transferred to my New Nintendo 3DS XL (from a 3DS XL), I fired up Smash Brothers 3DS and the game returns with the error "Unable to use the save data since it is not the latest data. Would you like to create new save data?".

I tried fixing the issue by "repairing" the 1.0.5 update via the e-store, but that didn't do the trick.

I haven't erased the data yet, and I have a backup of my saves on my PC from the system transfer.

I read something in the Smash Bros 3DS manual about there being no way to restore save data, and that this was by-design. Is this true?

Is there nothing I can do to make the game recognize my data properly?

Am I out of luck?

Please help!

I've been on this forum for about 15 minutes. All I see everywhere is "I hate you Nintendo" "Taking back my system." "Can't connect to EShop." "Can't download Zelda." Seriously? Calm down! First of all it's the day after Christmas. All of you people that can't connect, guess what?! You're ALL trying to at the same time! Has no one here seen a midnight release for a game? How about when Diablo 3 servers first went up. Anyone here try to play that game on that day? It's impossible! The mass sign in of Diablo 3 on launch was so heavy it not only crashed the D3 servers but Starcraft and World of Warcraft servers all together. That is what's happening here. Anyone got a 360? Did you pick up CoD Ghosts on release day? Couldn't play online could you... Guess what? Servers flooded and crashed. Just like they are here. It's not Nintendo's fault so get off their backs so they can fix it!

I noticed the eshop is still not working for me. Has anyone else been able to get through since yesterday? I think the holiday must have had something to do with it. If it was because too many people were trying to set up their new systems it shouldve been back up by now. If its not up later today, maybe Ill try calling the 800 number.

Any way to find a missing 3ds?

Hello! I have seen lots of people saying their 3ds is stolen/lost so I am wondering if there is anything I can do about it before it happens to me. For example, what apple does for the ipod touch/iphone/ipad at me.com. Is their a way to track it with a serial number?

Recovering Corrupted Save Data in Pokemon X and Y

$

Okay, so I just had a very, very close shave. I'd beaten the main game of an eShop-downloaded Pokemon: Y Version about a week ago, and have since been working on making some competitive online battling teams while filling in the Pokedex as a side-project. I thought I was done for the night, but one of my friends needed something, so I went to open it up.

That's when I saw this before the intro cinematic even played:

"The save game data is corrupted.

Refer to the electronic manual for details."

Natrually I was very concerned. I had no desire to just lose 220+ hours of time and effort, so I opened the manual hoping for a way to recover my corrupted data, maybe by loading a backup of my SD Card data.

The manual plainly told me that loading a backup would not restore my save game data.

This nearly made me quite literally throw my 3DS out the window in rage, but I decided to channel that anger into proving the manual wrong and searched up some fixes. Only two possibilities turned up, found on these forums:

1) Having the SD Card read by an external source (i.e. copying data from it to your computer).

2) Constantly restarting the game and praying it would jostle the game data into suddenly working again.

Now, this time things worked out; the first solution worked for me. and Pokemon Y is working just fine now. But this was still a seriously close call that could happen again at any moment, and I've seen cases on these forums that weren't so easily fixed. So I have to ask this:

Why can't we preserve and backup our save game data of Pokemon X and Y?

I know the obvious answer I'm going to get is some vein of "because of hackers and piracy", but my impression was that these were already taken care of as best as possible, hackers by the "Bad Egg" error thing and piracy by the 3DS-eShop linking. I know there are always a myriad of people trying to break these games over their knees, but to be frank, these people deserve whatever errors or lawsuits they get. The rest of us who instead play the game legally have to deal with errors like this with no way of reversing the damage other than to completely restart, and it is not at all fair, nor does it seem worth the trade-off.

Before anyone asks, the corruption that happened in my game was an entirely random event. I save often, I've never recieved a "Bad Egg", I bought the game right off of the eShop on launch day, and the closest thing I've done to cheating is save scumming when breeding Pokemon and not getting a favorable result in order to save time. This random corruption was a major eye opener to what hundreds of other people must have had happen to them also, and I'm not about to turn a blind eye even if I did fix my data.

The point is: in this day and age where info and data can be stored on nearly anything with nearly any means, hacking and piracy notwithstanding, there needs to be a reliable way for the innocent consumers to backup and recover the save data for a mere video game. Is there any way to make this possible? I'd rather not lose 220+ hours of work again and not be able to get it back this time...

Traded in 3DS XL and forgot to unlink Nintendo Network ID

I know, it was a knee-jerk reaction to trade it in so fast towards the New 3DS XL. I was not thinking straight and I completely forgot about system transfer and all of my downloaded games. My e-shop was linked to my Nintendo Network ID, so I changed the password in hopes of it being deactivated on the old 3DS XL I traded in.

My question is this: Is there a way to unlink my NNID from the old 3DS XL? I know it will say it is activated on another system when I try to log in on the N3DS, and I am fully aware that my saves are lost (which really only consisted of New Leaf and Chibi-Robo, all of my other games are cartridge-based). I just wanna be able to redownload the games I purchased when the N3DS comes out. Does calling Nintendo and requesting an unlink work? Has anyone had this kind of experience? I really don't wanna purchase New Leaf or Chibi-Robo again. I can't be the only person who ran into this issue ;n;

Thanks in advance.

Transferring data was the dumbest thing I've ever done

I just got the new 20th Anniversary Pokemon 3DS. It came with Red and Blue preinstalled and a code for themes. I downloaded the code and was a happy camper until I decided I wanted my data from my old 3ds. Horrible mistake! I transferred everything in a rush without thinking ahead and now everything is completely overwritten. I couldn't get it to link to my NNID beforehand for some reason so nothing was saved. Is there any possible way to get any of this back?

Pre-Installed Software & Software Transfer Question

I was thinking of picking up one of the new Blue 3DSXLs with Mario Kart 7 pre-installed. When I transfer my data from my existing 3DS to the new system will Mario Kart 7 be merged into my eShop account or will it be overwritten? (Which would stink.)

Pokemon Shuffle save data corrupted while transfer

Just a few hours ago I was transferring my data from my 4GB SD card to a 16GB one. I checked every downloaded games that I have and all were working just fine except Pokemon Shuffle. The save data happened to have been corrupted while on transfer. Is there any way that I can get the data back? Will providing my client number for the game help? My concern is that all the things that I obtained from timed events in the game will be lost forever so I was hoping I could at least get those back (I managed to get the Lucarionite back from one of the events from my old file so I'd like to think there must be a way for this) Any kind of help would be appreciated.
