My 3Ds XL bottom touch screen is unresponsive to any taps or any sort of thing, except for the top right part of the screen. No matter where i tap, it always activates something along the top right side. So i decided to try out a system transfer to a new 3ds xl. Well, guess what? Touch screen is required to actually do any system transfer. I contacted a place called console zombie and asked them what was up with my 3ds, and why it was doing this. They said that one of the connecters that is soldered to the motherboard of the console could be corroded, which usually results in strange side effects, such as mine. I have many questions about this subject which include:
1. Is there any chance of me transferring data without touch screen access?
2. Is there any way to fix these corroded connectors? (console zombie said they didn't know anyone who could)
3. Should I give up on all of my 1000+ puzzle pieces, downloaded data, any many other things on my 3ds and cry?(probs.)
4. And lastly, should i send it to nintendo and risk losing all of my data? They already basically stole two of my sd cards (second one was empty just in case), and can they even fix it? I tried sending two other 3ds' and both times they offered me a new one, which is not what I want.
Can someone please help me before I curl up into a ball in the corner of my bed and cry over all of spring break?
Thanks,
A random crying man
