I am wanting to get a 2DS soon. This will be my third '3DS' line system and I have never done a system transfer before, so each system has its own stuff. I want to merge all three onto one 3DS. If my understanding is correct, I could then move between models every 7 days if I needed to switch for some reason. Anywa, I know I need to start the transfer process somewhere. However, I'm a little confused on how to go about this without losing something. Can someone give me an order to do this in?
Here's some (probably important) info:
-I have an ambassador 3ds (original model). This has the ambassador games on it, as well as four swords and excitebike.
-My main system right now is an XL. This has about 15 digital games on it, as well as a lot of DLC for Fire Emblem and SMT IV.
-None of my systems had pre installed games.
-The original 3ds doesn't have anything important on the SD card. It's using the 4GB that came with the XL. When I changed systems, I followed the instructions on here to try and get my DLC to copy over (see my only other question). The XL has a 32GB card with all of my important stuff that I really don't want to lose (like the special Mammon for Bravely Default streetpass data). I never really did Mii Plaza so that's not as important.
-My XL is connected to my network id, but my 3ds is not. The 2ds is also not connected.
Could I transfer the ambassador 3ds to the 2ds, then the xl to the merged 2ds? At this point, the 2ds has not even been turned on, so it is basically formatted.
I would ideally like all of my games on one system at some point without losing anything. I can live with re buying dlc (again) but I would rather not lose my save data and especially not my ambassador games. I know there is a 7 day wait for transfers so this will take a bit, but I hope there is a solution. A step by step would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for the help!
